How This Tarot Spread for Feeling Stuck Works

I have selected five tarot archetypes to represent different areas of your life. You can choose the one you are drawn to, or use each of them to provider deeper guidance to each area of your life.

I have drawn three cards under each archetype to provide tarot insights. Each archetype, and the applying tarot cards are described also.

If you read tarot yourself, then you can use these five archetype descriptions to create your own readings.

Archetype 1 – The Emperor

In this reading the Emperor represents you and your own personal power. Your relationship with your self and your confidence is also described.
(three cards: Ace of Cups, Four of Pentacles, Justice)

Sometimes life can be overwhelming and it can be hard to find time for yourself. However this selection of cards encourages you to find some quiet time. Learning to meditate or allow yourself the chance to relax your mind can inspire.

These cards show a new creative phase on the horizon. Perhaps even love and romance, or a new pet to fall in love with. Allocating yourself creative time and time with loved ones, will help rebalance you.

There is a parallel between this part of your life and your solar plexus. The chakra energy centre located, just above your navel. Breathe deeply into your diaphragm for a few breaths in a out. The imagine this area of your abdomen emitting yellow or golden light. As a short regular exercise, this will help you feel more confident and centred.

Positive affirmations like, “I am enough”, “I have done well today”, “I am perfect, just as I am.” Will help to slow everything down and allow the positive vibes to enter, also.

Archetype 2 – The Empress

In this reading the Empress shows your intuitive side and your closest relationships. It can connect to love, friendship and family dynamics.
(three cards: Four of Cups, Four of Wands, The Sun)

It’s easy to take people we love for granted. Sometimes, when we feel stuck, we forget to truly appreciate those closest to us.

Breathing deeply into the centre of your chest resonates with this part of you life. Imagine green or pink light shining from your heart. See it envelop those who you love and value the most.

Consider how those closest to you have overcome adversity recently. Then take the time to say, “I’m proud of you because….” listing what they have accomplished.

This will help them to feel seen, appreciated and loved. In turn if they can do the same for you, you will feel inspired and enlightened.

Taking the time to be grateful and to express this to our loved ones, helps to bring new energy. We all need to be reminded how far we have come and grown.

Archetype 3 – The Hierophant

This shows your spiritual self and your connection to your soul energy. This also represents your soul path and destiny in this life.
(three cards: The Magician, 10 of Wands, Page of Wands)

These cards show that the way to elevate yourself are through the body. Although our souls are eternal and our bodies, just a temporary vessel. Looking after ourselves physically can be cathartic and spiritual.

Consider purifying your diet and making a commitment to trying new home cooked recipes. Equally, have a good, balanced exercise regime is very important.

Fasting can be a great way to cleanse the body. Also, considering taking herbs which help to purify the body from parasites and heavy metals can be very regenerating.

Strength training and bursts of intense exercise are amazing for the mind also. Although our soul path may seem to be more about the higher self. Actually, though by focusing on physical health, we impact our mental health. This allows our chakra energy to be strong and this in turn improves our attunement to the spiritual path.

Archetype 4 – The Hermit

The Hermit here represents how you conserve and replenish your energy. This is linked to your health and your emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
(three cards: The Devil, Four of Wands, King of Pentacles)

Interestingly, the cards here point to personal power and obsession as way to become unstuck. Although routines can be very healthy, sometimes we may feel trapped.

The power here is in shaking things up and allowing passion and excitement in. This could be done by building more connection and intimacy in personal relationships.

I remember how easy it was as a teenager to become obsessed with talented famous icons. It was a wonderful feeling and one that many of us may know or remember. There is something empowering about recognising and celebrating the talent we see in others.

By allowing ourselves to be excited by others we can reconnect with a part of ourselves. That heady feeling of having a crush, or being wowed. The amazing bond between partners who take the time to become closer. These experiences light us up and bring in a new energy that will shake up old energy.

It’s time to visit the places you’ve always dreamed of. To book tickets to see a favourite band, or take up a hobby inspired by another. To develop deeper closeness and love with a partner.

Archetype 5 – The Fool

In this context the Fool shows your day to day life and whether it is time to take a leap of faith. Perhaps changing jobs, residence or overall lifestyle.
(three cards: King of Wands, Queen of Swords, Ten of Cups)

The story here seems indicates that you can do more, where you already are. There is more room to shine and show your expertise.

Perhaps you could upskill and become more of an expert at what you do. This could be with casual or formal training, anything can be learned online! It may be that you’re not showing your full abilities to the world.

It can be easy to coast and not speak up, but now is the time to express yourself. Taking the easy route tends to lead us to feelings of being stuck and stagnant.

What can you do to improve your knowledge, communication, ability to listen and to refine your output?

Your mind is your power and your presence is your success.

Considering the energy around you is important too. Sometimes moving furniture around, or having a different physical perspective makes a difference.

Energetically it’s healthy to clear away clutter and to move object regularly. When the energy in our environment is stuck, it an affect us on a deeper level.

Change for change sake is worthwhile where it comes to energy. Paying attention to basic feng shui can be incredibly powerful.
