The Sacrifices That Led to a Spiritual Awakening

The Sacrifices That Led to a Spiritual Awakening

Modern life is complex and can be overwhelming. In order to be more soulful and allow ourselves a spiritual awakening, there are areas that are best avoided. Daily meditation, journaling, setting good intentions and participating in acts of kindness will elevate you. By sacrificing your connection to the following areas, your soul may soar. Your spiritual awakening will depend upon you unravelling the following external distractions…

Materialism and sacrifices

There’s nothing wrong with being wealthy and having what you wish for.  The issue is when we overly identify with our tangible assets.

The soul has no interest in which car you drive, only where you choose to go.  The size of your house will not affect the enjoyment of your life choices.

Your soul development will not be affected by the cat scratches on your sofa.  Neither will it care if your bathroom suite is 40 years old.

Wealth and possessions are fine, over identifying with them is imbalanced and tiring.

Renouncing materialism is about recognising the physical world as a façade.  A convincing one at that, but we take nothing with us, except how we treated others.

Caring about what other people think

Equally, living life with the opinions of others in mind, will not serve you.  When we worry about what others think we are usually concerned about being judged.

Know this: the people who judge you will never be true friends.   Those who accept you, are those that you will be happy amongst.

Always be as authentically you as you can.  It is only by shining your true energy, that your soul family will be able to recognise you.  On a spiritual level, like attracts like.

Be loving, be yourself and your soulmates will gravitate to you.

Those that judge will drain you and block your true energy.  Always be polite, always be kind and trust that you will never need to try to impress your people.

If you worry about what others think, you will be syphoning your own energy to those who are not connected to your path.

Following the herd

Thinking for yourself is important.  It’s fine to agree, be peaceable, or to step away from conflict.

It is important though to know your mind, to form your own ideas.  Ideas are creative, creativity is soulful.

Shine as bright as you dare, know it’s okay to wear a protective cloak.  The world is a complicated place.  It’s only inner you who you need to answer to.

You don’t even need to answer to your family or spouse.  Your soul path is your own.

As the saying goes; “Never apologise for being you, never explain yourself”.  Silence is an option and often the wisest choice.

On the other hand, if you are outspoken and can defend the natural world.  If you are equipped to help protect vulnerable people, animals and other wonderful causes, then you are fabulous.

Not everybody’s path is to be thick skinned.  It is everybody’s path to make choices which serve you and your growth.

News, media and sacrifices

We live in an age of information influx.  If we engage with everything, then we end up overwhelmed.

If we switch on the TV and watch the news as it is given to us, then we become controlled.  Our thoughts and feelings will then be construed by others.

Seek what serves you.  You can choose what to learn about and how to verify the sources you refer to.

Some people are supposed to be involved in current affairs.  Many are drained by knowing too much of what they cannot change.

Be mindful of the essence of the information you connect to.  Journalists have to write eye-catching pieces for their wages, they don’t have to verify their work.

The media exists for business, not for information.  Keep this in mind when you choose the content that you allow to form your thoughts.

Your spirit will have more space to soar if you side-step the mainstream.

You actually ARE what you eat!

Whilst our body and soul are only entwined with energy, physical vibrance is importance.  The healthier our bodies are, the more connected we become to our soul.

Our bodies can only make new cells and create energy with the food we provide.  Eating clean, fresh food helps our minds, fitness and overall health.  This in turn improves brain function, auric energy and the ability to feel happy.

Avoiding processed foods and artificial sweeteners can have a great overall impact upon our health.  I also avoid, meat, fish and dairy products.  Cruelty to animals does not align with my soul path.

Looking after physical health has a massive impact on spiritual health.

Being kind in your food choices, will allow your soul to feel purer.  This will help you on your path to a spiritual awakening.

Dreams as a Tool for Spiritual Awakening

Pay it forward

Helping people is a natural expression of soul energy.  Being kind, chivalrous, supportive and a great listener are such important qualities.

However, we live in a world where altruism is uncommon.  There are people who know how to take advantage of good-natured people.

Learning to set your personal boundaries is so important.  We must look after our own energy to be healthy enough to shine and help others.

One of my rules is to offer free insights to people when I feel compelled, but not to strangers who ask.

Those in need rarely ask for help.  The people who benefit from kindness are often humble and appreciative.  These people are good natured and often overlooked, with beautiful souls.

Those who ask are usually used to having everything and will never value your time or energy.  These people see value as needing to be monetary.

It’s fine to charge money for your kindness and your work.  We all need to live, and money is great.

It’s important to be there for those who need us too though.  Keep a look out for the ones who need and do not ask.

Understanding your energy for spiritual awakening

To initiate a spiritual awakening it is important to understand how you can thrive.  In the Western world we are not taught about how our energy works and it does vary from person to person.

Some people gain energy from groups, some feel more energised from one-to-one encounters.  Most people need alone time to recover after a lot of socialising.

Overall though, when you can relax around people, you won’t be tired.  The fact that being around others is tiring shows that many of us feel we have to put up a guard.

Reviewing the people who you feel most comfortable and safe with is important.  Understanding what (and who) tires you the most will help you to plan more energising pursuits.

Equally, people who find it difficult to be alone would benefit from understanding why they rely on others.

As always balance is key.  It is important to prioritise seeing people who uplift and support you.

Noticing those who are critical, competitive or complaining, will be useful.  Do observe if you yourself display these traits towards others.

Wishing the best for others and regarding them with empathy will always improve your vibration.  Noticeably so.  It will show in your eyes, your skin, your energy field and karma.

It is important to learn to say ‘no’.

Sacrificing those who do not serve you will only improve your spiritual vibration and help quicken your spiritual awakening.

Final thoughts about sacrifices that led to a spiritual awakening

Embracing these sacrifices and conscious choices is not about deprivation, but about allowing genuine connection with your soul purpose.

By recognising and removing some of what drains you, you can prioritise that which nourishes your spirit.

Trusting your path can help your journey to spiritual awakening and allow your soul to flourish and magnetise that which serves you.
