Actor Mickey Rourke’s troubled career with major ups and worse downs has added another paragraph of woe as he was kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother show for inappropriate and aggressive behaviour. He won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA in his heyday, made a sideways move into boxing, returned to movies and caused mayhem on sets, was charged with spousal abuse etc etc
“I’ve made mistakes, many. I have nobody to blame for my ship sinking except myself.” He credited his comeback in the Noughties to years of intensive therapy. “I had to lose my house, my wife, my money, my career, everything, for me to fall all the way down to the bottom.”
Redemption was clearly not meant to be.
He was born 16 September 1956 11.17 pm (net sources) New York, with a physically abusive stepfather from the age of six.
Two aspects leap out – one is Mars in Pisces in his career 10th on the focal point of a yod inconjunct Mercury in Libra sextile Venus in Leo (conjunct Uranus). This will give him an erratic grip on his temper and inclination to be outspoken (Mars Mercury) – with his Mercury catching the recent Libra Solar Eclipse which would ramp up his excitability. Plus the midpoint planet is Jupiter opposing his focal point Mars which will make him overly-impulsive.
He also has an Aquarius Moon opposition Pluto square Saturn in Scorpio pointing to a bleak, emotionally unsupported childhood which will make him unyielding and controlling. The Aquarius Moon also has a tendency to like shocking others with ‘jokey’ comments that do not always go down well.
His Progressed Mars is opposition his Virgo Sun exactly at the moment for a collision-type experience due to his temper being triggered; and tr Saturn is also in a discouraging opposition to his Sun. Plus tr Uranus was in an insecure, explosive conjunction to his Solar Arc Mars as he moved into the Big Brother house for much the same effect.
A sad tale with more upsets to come as tr Uranus moves to oppose his Saturn and square his Pluto through this year.
