On November 25th, 2025, Mercury retrograde conjuncts Venus at 22° Scorpio.
All conjunctions are important… but conjunctions between the 2 interior planets – Mercury and Venus – are particularly interesting because of the unique visibility mechanics and synodic timing behind them.
Mercury conjunct Venus means wayyyyy more than a Scorpio transit.
That’s because when it comes to Mercury and Venus, we apply a totally different logic – that goes beyond aspects or zodiac signs.
With Mercury and Venus what’s more important is where the 2 are in their visibility cycle, whether they are morning or evening stars, and how close they are to the Sun.
Mercury and Venus never travel far from the Sun, and because of this, the only 2 aspects they can ever make to each other are the conjunction and the sextile.
Venus Conjunct Mercury – The Language Of Light
So when Venus and Mercury can’t speak through aspects – like other planets do – they speak through the language or light and visibility.
Mercury and Venus can only conjunct in a very particular circumstance: when one of them has just emerged from invisibility or is about to disappear into it.
During this particular conjunction, both Mercury and Venus (at 22° Scorpio) are 10° away from the Sun (now at 2° Sagittarius) – at the edge of the twilight/disappearance zone.
But they move in different directions:
Mercury is retrograde, so it is moving backwards toward the Sun in zodiacal order – but forward in terms of visibility → it is about to emerge in the morning sky.
Venus, on the other hand, is direct and a morning star. With a higher speed than the Sun, it will slowly catch up to it, closing the gap. So while Mercury is emerging in the sky, Venus is disappearing.
Mercury is increasing in light. Venus is decreasing in light.
Venus Conjunct Mercury – Secret Arrangements
The 2 meet at “twilight” for a secret arrangement before they part ways – one climbing into visibility, the other sinking into the underworld.
Both free-spirited in their morning star phases, they are concocting something behind the scenes.
That’s not to say they are hiding anything or acting in misalignment with the “script” – the Sun.
It simply means that what they’re doing now is private, inner-oriented, and more in tune with our free will than with what we’re “supposed to be doing”.
This is a passing-of-the-torch moment: new ideas seeded at the beginning of the Mercury cycle begin to inform our values, our desires, and the emotional motivations we didn’t have language for until now.
The conjunction is a signal that our mind and heart are coming to a private agreement first – in Scorpio – before they catch up with the Sun (our conscious identity).
Something is being decided internally – something that will fully make sense later, when Mercury and Venus each reach the Sun.
Venus Conjunct Mercury In Scorpio
The Mercury-Venus conjunction can manifest as:
Sudden clarity about what you truly want
Re-evaluation of our desires, values, or relationships
Insight into how your current wants might have been shaped by old conditioning or emotional inheritance
Ability to articulate something meaningful or long-suppressed
A time to check in with your integrity, your emotional honesty, and whether your actions match your inner truth
This is when our inner truth is discovered in the shadows, before it becomes fully conscious.
Mercury retrograde conjunct Venus is a crucial reorientation point – an ending and a beginning.
New priorities emerge, and different choices begin to crystallize.
A life goal that once felt compelling suddenly doesn’t. We might discover that what we truly want is entirely different.
This doesn’t mean that when Mercury conjuncts Venus – BAM – we will have it all figured out.
In the next couple of weeks, Mercury retrograde in Scorpio will do research into how this new reality might look like in practice, figuring out the details, the logistics, and what it actually takes to translate this inner shift into outer realities.
Mercury Conjunct Venus – Re-writing The Script
What’s important to remember at the time of this important Mercury-Venus conjunction is to pay attention to what shifts.
Right now, it’s ok to change your mind. It’s ok to change your heart.
Mercury conjunct Venus as morning stars is when the heart and mind catch onto something the self hasn’t fully realized yet.
A new truth is quietly forming in the dark waters of Scorpio.
Mercury and Venus meet behind the Sun’s back, creating a rare window where our inner clarity gets to speak before the script of our life is fully written.
This is a chance to pour more of “you” into your own narrative – to let authenticity slip through the cracks before obligation and expectation have the chance to override it.
Sometimes the universe opens rare windows where we CAN change the script.
Trust that seeding process because it speaks the language of truth. If something suddenly becomes more important, it’s because it is.
